the drag race didnt go to good..


the hennesy guy ninja installed a clutch in their car..... and ran a good time...

nursing the car we ran a bad time... we had massive wheel hop.. and at risk of breaking something.. we took it extremly easy.. and slow...

so we lost out 2nd place.. and back in 3rd...

this morning at midohio we finished 3rd.. behind Ron in his beast.. thats back.. and infront of davia...

our triple disk, mega awsome,, sooper light.. most expensive in the world.. tilton clutch.. is starting to fail...

it sliped on the interstate last nite just cruizing... the hotter it is.. the better grip it has... so we are crossing our fingers on it making it back to southbend.. and finish this podium up...

we had a nice drive yesterday.. only 240miles.... SHORT!!!!! we stopped at a japanese place.. and had a steak...


i got pulled over by a cop... he said i was swerving back and forth.. like i was drunk.. he said i looked tired.... i told him last time i slep was in oklahoma.. 2 days ago... he gave me a warning.... we were only 8 miles from the hotel.. so alllmost there...



we nursing the clutch rite now... we hoping to finish this thing in 3rd.... i will be very happy about that....

yesterday morning at hallet.. it was wet... 100mph 4th gear wheel spin with corded rear tires down the strate.... we kep it on track... and didnt lose many points....

2nd session we got 3rd... right where we need to be....


yesterday morning we started taking it extremly easy on the car.. the boost is turned all the way down.. and im keepign wheel spin to a minimum...


leaving the track we heard a squeeking noise coming from the back left..... yep.. a wheel bearing...

about a hour down the road.. the thing is SCREEMING and the hub feels like its gona fall off... we call marshal mogan and he calls Steve Vache and Bill Hansen..... we just so happen to be going thre st luis.. where these guys are from... Bill lets us come to his house.. and rip his hub off his car.. and greg, bill, and steve do a very late night.. very difficult.. rusty... hub swap.... i cannot say thanks enough to bill and steve... these guys are awsome...




i slep in the driveway a little.. and watched... then we had a problem with the axle.. the threads had been mushroomed... so i hacksawd threadpattern into the first 2mm of the axle.. and it worked... somehow...


me and greg rotated drives to indy... it was a very difficult drive.. we were extremly tired...


other then my hour on the concrete driveway at bills house... and gregs 45min in the supra while on the way to indy... we have had no sleep....



we BARLY make it to indy.... we drove strate to grid.. and was a little late... didnt even have time to walk to track or look at the track map.... only thing i ever seen about this track was a vid 3 weeks ago!!.. haha.. on my warm up lap.. i was told i went off track in the "parkinglot" session and totoaly missed turn 6... i told the guy... "i didnt go to sleep last night... and have no idea if the first turn is a left or a rite.... but i wil try my best".. he was like... "uhhhh... ok.. b safe!"


we were 6th i think. this morning.. on 17psi... no sliding at all.... just making the car last......

just got to the hotel.... after a downpoor nightime drive....

the day went good.. we got 3rd in the morning session.. and 4th in the afternoon session.. even tho i took the supra rallying on part of the track on my last lap..


looks as tho we are pretty much locked into 3rd overall.. big gap from 4th.. and a decent sized one to 2nd... the way the points system works... noone can really change their position unless they DNF...... so we are gona take it easy on the car a lil bit more.. and try to bring a podium home...

greg got pulled over twice.. but i will post more about that tommarow...





the last corner.. transition onto drag strip.. with metal plates covering the holes where the TREE would be.. is pretty interesting...





i never knew these windmill things were so big... there was one just a couple hundred feet from the road... they are serisouly freekin huge...

this morning a peublo we were top 3... not sure wich exactly.. probably 3rd.. the track surface isnt very good.... we also found a defect with out right back tire.. we should be getting it replaces.. it doesnt slow us down.. just some unnormal thread placement in the tire....

anyways... the big news is the topspeed...... yesterday in the morning session at miller they blew their motor... blew the skirt off the piston....

when we left miller.. they had a new shotblock sitting by their car.... they did a full engine swap in the middle of the night and just pulled up at lunch time here at pueblo...

absolutly amazing!!!..

they plan to run it in this afternoon session... i cant even beleive it really... anyone else.. and they would have just quit....

they decided not to run.. they gona drive it back to southbend.. and go home early..... playing it safe... i think its a good move..

finaly got to stretch the legs in the soopdawg.... and it did good... we got 2nd in both rounds.... the viper again won... and we beat the porsche pretty easily...


the 2nd round was the long corse... the car got a lil warm so i chilled out on the last lap... short shifted a little and took it easy on the motor.. the temps came down a lil and i finished the lap just fine.... word has it.. i was still within a sec of the viper....

i have incar of my fastest lap.. a 3:13... i will post it up tonight....


we in MOAB rite now.... possibly running a hi rate of speed.... codriver caloudas behind the wheel...

the 1000 mile trip last night went well.. with no mis haps... it was actualy a very nice drive... im glad we only did one run group at mid america so we could see everything with the day light..... we pulled into salt lake about midnight... popped right through the mountians... and down them.. at a prety hi rate of speed... : )

first we had to get through the plains.. wich was pretty boring..




sticking candy on the windsheild at 90mph...




150miles down the road.... in freezing temps.. the candy stays on...




the sno begins... not just on the ground.. in the air also...

well today so far has been pretty wild....


if you saw on the news.. the huge tornado that took out that town... we drove into that storm last night about 30 miles from mid america...

it was still raining when we woke up this morning.. i usualy like the rain.. but in this car.. on street tires... on a track i never drove before.... it got pretty interesting...

they wernt real sure what to do with the event... when we got there it was still raining... and no BS... a Tornado warning sirein was going off for the city of omaha..... the track had some puddles and small ponds on some of the strates... so they made the event just a single trial instead of 2..it finaly stopped raining.... and the track ran some pikup trucks threw the water puddles... then let us out...


we finished 3rd at autobahn so thats where we qualified.. and started.. in the first run group... on a soaking wet track... the supra didnt like it.. but i had fun... topspeed and davia were a pretty good bit faster.... and the viper.. killed us all.. again...


the next run group had a drying track and did about the same times as us...

then the track kep getting dryer and dryer.....


a honda oddesy MINIVAN.. won overall!!!.. haha.... it started 53rd.. on a totaly dry track i assume...


the navi system said 943 miles to go... to salt lake city.. its gona be a looong night..

also.. sorry no videos yet.... the camera went dead on my outlap today.. i woulda relaly liked to have gotten incar of it...

finaly got to stretch the supras legs a little... had a couple things not quite perfect with the car.. but they are good now....

got hung up by a Z06 in the last long rite hand turn... almost put him in da wall...

we managed a 3rd.... .9 sec behind the topspeed beast who also got held up by traffic... and we were .5 sec faster then the wining car from last year.. Davias 996 turbo...

the hennessy viper has a very good driver in it.. and the car is awsome.. not only pulling the most mph on the strate... but more tire then anyone.. and looks to be well sorted..... its very good everywhere.... he smoked everyone pretty bad....

5th place was the nobel a solid 10 seconds behind us.....


so looks to be a 4 car battle. the hennessy viper.. Topspeeds time attack subaru... the 3 time winner porsche 996 turbo.. and us...... with the viper having the reliabilty of a non turbo car... among other advantages.... it def has the best chance... but one little eff up... and they are toast... same goes for everyone else....

Wet Skid Pad
580whp Supra's with 295 front tires and wet skid pads just dont mix to well. Leh and I disconnected the front and rear sways and softend the shocks up to try and get her to roll a little more.... well it worked ok.... we have no idea how we did as the announcer was too busy trying to figure out how he had heard the name Leh Keen before to announce our time or G's... we will have to check the results when they get posted on the one lap site. Ussually an awd or fwd take that event anyways.

Roundy Round
Well i screwed up and forgot the wedge and bump rubbers at the shop so we couldnt slap the Ricky Bobby shake and bake setup on the supra... Leh looked like he was having a little fun out there even with a fuel starvation issue popping up on the 100 yard straight...with a little less than a half tank in the car the slosh was just too much. no biggy though we are going to 3/4s for the road course stuff and shouldnt have anymore issues with that.

Leh was on track with Luke in the TopSpeed STi/rota thingy and actually managed a little faster than luke even with the fuel starvation. Luke's gearing was wrong for the roundy round he tried 3rd and hit the rev limiter and tried 4th and the car bogged.

We are on our way to our first road course event at autobahn country club south of Chicago. We will post up some pics as soon as we get there and stop bouncing in traffic. its about time to show these one lap guys just what the supra and leh have instore for them

missed the drivers meeting thanks to chicago traffic.. but made registration.. and we are good to go for tommarow morning..

thank you AMS motorsports... we had a couple issues with the car we wanted to fix.. and AMS gave us a lift and a mechanic in their very busy shop.. to help us get the stuff fixed and get us on our way....


we pulled up to tire rack around 5pm.. to find a parking lot FULL of cars... some very cool stuff is racing this year.. some crazy stuff also... 400hp turbo mini vans.. tube frame ls turbo powerd dodge viper bodied crazy thing...

topspeeds car is very cool and looks like it will be very fast... it along with a couple other cars are pretty much full out racecars....

we washed the car and got some food with Doug and Luke from topspeed... and gona get some sleep now.... i dont think i will be getting much for a LONG time...

1000 miles down.. 5000 to go...

we got to AMS around 5pm.. after 2.5 hours of traffic in the windy city....


the car is good.. no major problems....

the new tires are on.. and we leave to south bend tommarow around noon...

we officialy began our journey... we left Charleston SC tonight around 9pm to AMS in chicago... we have a brand new set of michelins there waiting for us.. and we will do a once over on the car one final time before we head to south bend... this trip is 900 miles to chicago.. so if any little stupid thing is gona go wrong.. we hope it does now...

we are 200 miles into it so far... and will be getting into the mountians soon.. so that should be fun....
